Janilaine Mainprize would have been 57 on 22nd January 2023. Untangled Threads is raising money for The Christie NHS Foundation Trust - MELANOMA RESEARCH - by selling Woven Pebble Workshop Kits in her memory. This is a not for profit project. I would like to thank Janilaine’s close family for respecting and supporting my request to work on this ‘collaborative’ project. 
 
Janilaine and I talked endlessly about different art projects and joint exhibitions (along with many other, far less productive topics of conversation!), and I am really grateful for her love and continuing influence on my work and in my life. 
 
£5.00 from the sale of every ‘marking time’ workshop kit will be donated to melanoma research. Untangled Threads also pledges that the remaining profit from the sale of kits (£5.00 from RRP) will be placed into an account for Janilaine’s grand-daughter, Florence. I’ve nicknamed it the ‘Florence Candyfloss Fund’ and it will be used by Paige to ensure that as Florence grows up, she always has a few ‘treats from Marmsey’.
