Kumihimo is a Japanese form of braid-making. Cords and ribbons are made by interlacing strands. Kumi himo is Japanese for "gathered threads".
Using a simple disc, and carefully following the instructions, you can make braids with up to 24 strands of thread, and even add beads, to create stunning pieces of jewellery.
This workshop will cover:

Selecting and preparing threads

Methods of weaving to give desired pattern

How to combine threads and beads.

How to use bobbins for longer braids.

How to finish the braid for making into jewellery
